RATINGS RAT RACE: Fox's 'Lie To Me' Gains

RATINGS RAT RACE: Fox's 'Lie To Me' Gains

For a third consecutive off-season Monday, a repeat of CBS’ The Big Bang Theory (2.6 rating/7 share among adults 18-49) was the top program of the night in the adults 18-49 demo, but this time, it shared the honors with ABC’s The Bachelorette (2.6/8)
as several summer originals showed mild growth.
ABC’s unscripted lineup of The Bachelorette and True Beauty (1.9/6) was flat from last week, while NBC’s The Last Comic Standing (2.1/6) at 9PM was up a notch (5%) from its season premiere
last week. That failed to boost its lead-out, Persons Unknown (1.2/4), which was down 14% from its debut last week, an expected decline for a heavily serialized drama, which didn’t open strong. (See Exhibit A, ABC’s Happy Town).

Fox’s Lie To Me (2.0/7) at 8PM saw a promising 11% ratings increase from its summer premiere last week, but, in its third airing, The Good Guys at 9PM (1.3/4), continued to underperform, sliding another .1 rating point from its in-season preview (1.5) and summer premiere last week (1.4)
ABC (2.3/7, 7.4 million) won the night in adults 18-49, while being edged out by CBS’s all-rerun lineup (1.9/6, 7.5 million) in total viewers. (article deadline.com)
